WJON IP Radio runs “Radio Rewind”, a mix of the 70’s and 80’s, as well as classic hits!

We bring you EAS and other crucial information when needed, as getting the word out about imminent severe weather and other civil threats is of most importance.

Currently, WJON is run off a SAGE DIGITAL ENDEC (3644). This ENDEC allows alerts to be forwarded immediately upon reception. Most alerts will be relayed automatically. This equipment also connects to the FEMA iPAWS server, and relays emergency alerts across the United States.

WJON IP Radio has a TFT EAS 911 used for local monitoring. This is sent to the SAGE 3644 under the callsign “STERLING”.

You can see our monitor list at this link.
