SAGE Digital 3644

The SAGE has six inputs for EAS messages. These six monitors are scanned simultaneously for Emergency Alerts. WJON Utilizes all 6 of these EAS Channels.

Here are the SAGE monitors and their assigned use:

  • Monitor 1 – Used for NWR in local area and local AM/FM. Radio used for NWR is a Reecom 1650-A*.
  • Monitor 2 – Local AM/FM Radio
  • Monitor 3 – Local AM/FM Radio*
  • Monitor 4 – TFT EAS 911 Patch from computer
  • Monitor 5 – WeatherScan 24/7 Software ENDEC*
  • Monitor 6 – Local AM/FM Radio

* = These inputs are used by the SAGE to detect and remove the 1050hz tone heard at the beginning of alerts over NOAA Weather Radio

TFT EAS 911
